About Us
Our three founders are all respected, professional tourism industry operators who have combined their talent to setup Red Carpet Rotorua. We all call Rotorua home and can think of no better place to live. Quite simply it would be an understatement to say that we are passionate about our destination!
Kim Martin has a corporate background in project management within the financial services industry. Together with Andrew, she owned and operated a five star lodge here in Rotorua for many years, which was where her career in destination management all began. Kim is all about planning and attention to detail, essential ingredients in this business. In her spare time Kim loves to enjoy our environment, either walking the dogs or horse riding, and spending time with family and friends.
Andrew Martin is a natural born front man whose hosting talent is legendary. Like Kim, Andrew’s career in destination management began during his time as owner host of Hamurana Country Estate, a local 5 star lodge. There his natural talent for hosting people of all cultures, understanding their needs and ensuring they had a great time was renowned. As a private tour guide Andrew knows all corners of our destination and the people that work within it. In his spare time Andrew gets out and about as the lead singer for a popular local band, indulges in his passion for technology and spends time with family and friends.
Guy Irwin is one of our industry celebrities and often needs no introduction. Guy’s career has been focused around corporate adventure tourism, so quite simply he knows how to extend people and give them a good time. Having played key management roles in iconic tourism businesses he is also a past board member of Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ). In his spare time Guy loves Rotorua’s abundant great outdoors, coaching his kids sports, keeping fit and spending time with family and friends.
